Gayle Thompson: The genre of proofreading and copy editing is an art form. It takes special talent to copy- edit an author’s work and let it remain the author’s work, i.e., I will not rewrite your work, but will make suggestions that you can either use or not. I have over twenty-five -years of experience in proofreading and copy editing. Most proofreaders and copy editors love this type of work, as do I. Many authors have personally thanked me for the work I have done on their manuscripts and the suggestions I have provided to them. Your manuscript will receive personal and professional attention from me.
